WE'RE DOING A THING... 🤎

Last year, Cavell and I (more on who we are in another blog... 😅) were incredibly fortunate to find this beautiful little property in Conestogo to call home.

And pretty much from the beginning, one of our favourite things about living here has been having people over.

Friends. Family. Kids everywhere. Food outside. Music playing. Sitting around the fire. Celebrating things. And usually people staying much later than anyone planned.

Somewhere along the way, we started looking around and thinking...

We have something pretty special here. What if we shared a little bit of it?

And that's really where The Russell Grounds started.

SO... WHAT IS THE RUSSELL GROUNDS?

Right now?

It's our home. Just under an acre of grounds, gardens, mature trees, a forest behind us, a gazebo, a fire pit and a cute little barn at the back that needs a little (okay... maybe a lot 😂) of love.

But we have ideas.

We want to grow more flowers.

Fix up the barn.

Create beautiful little gathering spaces.

Hang lights.

Set long tables beneath the trees.

Invite creative people here and see what they imagine.

And slowly figure out what this place could become.

CREATE • GATHER • CELEBRATE.

That's really the whole idea.

AND WE'RE GOING TO SHARE THE JOURNEY.

This is the part I'm actually really excited about!!

We're not waiting until everything is finished and then showing you some perfect before-and-after.

We're starting now.

First up is probably that little barn....

It is stuffed to the brim with junk and Cavell, and I now need to decide whether we are getting a junk bin or having a massive burn party...  😂

So... welcome to the beginning.

We have absolutely no idea exactly where this is going.

But I think that's kind of the fun part.
