Well, We Did It! Our First Content Days at The Russell Grounds...

Well, we did it!
We hosted our first-ever Content Day at The Russell Grounds. Actually, we hosted TWO! And can we just say, the content creators showed up, and the SUN absolutely understood the assignment.
I honestly don't even know where to start, other than to say we loved every single moment!
Watching new friends wander the property, discover little pops of colour we hadn't even noticed ourselves, find the perfect pocket of light, or capture their favourite humans basking in that dreamy golden-hour sunshine as it sprinkled through the trees.
It was everything we had hoped for.
But hands down, getting to meet all of these beautiful, creative humans was our favourite part.
Because this. THIS is why we're doing it.
Creating a space for creatives. A space for love, connection, and capturing memories. A place where people can slow down, explore, and find a little magic in the everyday.
And if you know us, you know those are the very things we value in our own lives.
A Little Walk Around The Grounds
There was something almost surreal about getting to describe The Grounds to people for the first time.
"Okay, so you can take a little stroll over to the gardens, where you'll find a rustic wooden sandbox and a cute fall setting. Or, if the kiddos need to get their sillies out first, head straight for the swings!

Then wander a little further, and you'll find a lace-draped pergola, dressed up with all the cozy fall vibes.
Keep going, and the property opens up into this beautiful green space, surrounded by big, old trees, with a cute little tire swing and the lushest greenery as your backdrop.

We've tucked a few vintage-inspired scenes in there too, including an old trunk that we actually WANT you to open up and let the kiddos climb into. Don't worry, we've even left a blanket to make it cozy.

And finally, please, PLEASE make your way to our Fairy Forest!"

Yes, Fairy Forest. The kiddos officially claimed the name, and honestly, we couldn't have named it better ourselves.
Tucked beneath these beautiful tall trees is the sweetest little patch of green grass, surrounded by nature, where the sunlight flutters through the leaves like a family of tiny fairies coming down to welcome you.
It's one of those spots that you really have to experience for yourself.
And the best part? Everyone seemed to find something a little different to fall in love with.
And Just Like That, It Was All Worth It.
The story of The Grounds will keep changing as the seasons and scenes do.
But watching the eyes of these creatives widen as we walked them through the property made every single hour of work over the last two months worth it.
The barn cleanout. The bonfires. Ripping out old gardens, building new ones, moving things around, creating little corners to explore, and trading in some of those beautiful, sunny summer weekends for long days of work.
All. Worth. It.
Because suddenly, we weren't just looking at all the work we had done.
We were watching other people see the possibilities.
And that was pretty darn special.
A Little Love to Take Home
The coolest part of all of this?
We're just getting started.
Being a creative at heart myself, there were about a hundred moments when I wanted to grab a camera and get behind the lens.
But instead, I found myself experiencing a completely different kind of joy.
Watching other people create.

Watching families laugh, photographers find their light, and little ones run around and explore the same spaces our own family has fallen in love with.
I didn't expect that part to feel quite so special.
And because we couldn't let our new friends leave empty-handed, each creative went home with a little bundle of fresh mint from our garden, wrapped up and finished with our brand-new Russell Grounds gift tags.

Nothing fancy. Just a little piece of The Grounds to take home.
But more than anything, I hope they left feeling a little of the love we've poured into this place, and with a few magical memories of their own.
So, What's Next?
Well, this weekend, The Grounds are going CHRISTMAS!
The mums are being replaced with Christmas trees.
The cornstalks with garland.
The pumpkins with presents.
And we cannot WAIT to see what everyone creates next.
